Is this an illusion or a flying carpet? It's an illusion, but it's also a glass-top coffee table. Sure, it seems to be suspended in mid-air, and even throws a shadow. But that shadow is the table's base, and it's connected to the top where you can't see. The carpet pattern and the fringed ends are printed into the underside of the glass top. That glass is curved, but not enough to spill your coffee -just enough to make this a real conversation-starter for your social gatherings. Or fuel your fantasies, we won't judge. However, I would personally recommend not sitting on it. See the table from all angles at Toxel.
This table is sold by Duffy London. Their site is very difficult to navigate, but you can go directly to the table here. The listing won't tell you anything you didn't know from the Toxel article. If you have to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it. -via Nag on the Lake ā
