A Retro Candy-Colored Dream House

If you've always wanted to live in a Barbie colored home from the Oppenheimer era, check out this Phoenix house that could be yours. Built in 1957 by architect G. N. Richards, it is the epitome of mid-century style, yet is a modern size at 1,788 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It features two curved block walls, neon lights, a mirrored wall of closets in the master bedroom, two Disney-themed bedrooms, and a tiki room, complete with a faux "rain" window. It was recently retrofitted to be period-authentic with the pastel colors of the era, and furnished with the proper decor. This house is often sought out for movies and music videos.

But wait until you see the kitchen. It's a triangular pink paradise! The appliances are modern reproductions of 1950s units painted with pink enamel to match the cabinets.

There's a lot more to this house, which you can see in 85 pictures at the real estate listing. -via Fark
