Maryland Homeowners Accidentally Burn Down Their House Trying to get rid of a Snake Infestation

A homeowner got more than what they bargained for! A house in Montgomery County, Maryland was burned down after its owner attempted to smoke out some snakes that cozied up in the building.

The homeowner was using coals as a heat source to smoke out the rogue snakes, but they got too close to combustible materials, which then caused the fire. A total of 75 firefighters responded to the scene around 10pm, just when the structure and roof collapsed due to the heavy flames. The total damage is estimated to be at $1 million. As to whether or not the homeowner actually managed to kill or smoke out the snakes, this remains unknown. Remember to be careful when handling fire and flammable objects!
