It won’t be that hard to find space. Kevin McAllister, the main character in the Home Alone franchise, lived in a mansion in the Chicago area. That house has five bedrooms, a full basement, a huge garage, and more on a half-acre lot just a few hundred yards from Lake Michigan. It’s now for sale.
The Zillow listing includes photos of the interior and exterior of the house used to shoot the first movie. Although it’s been heavily remodeled since the filming in 1990, the landing and main staircase are clearly recognizable.
