The Iconic House from A Christmas Story is For Sale

The 1983 movie A Christmas Story gained cult status with annual showings on television and became a beloved Christmas tradition. This year, a sequel called A Christmas Story Christmas sees Ralphie inherit his father's house and take his children there to experience Christmas 30 years after the events of the first film. And now, that experience could be yours in real life.

The house in Cleveland where the exteriors shots were filmed for the movie is on the market. The current owner, Brian Jones, bought the house in 2004, restored it to its film appearance, made the interior look like that of the movie, and opened it up for tours and overnight rentals. He announced the sale on the home's Facebook page, and assures us that tours will continue while the home is for sale. After that, who knows?

The sale will include the house itself, the museum next door, a gift shop, and other houses, for a total of five buildings plus three parking lots and two empty lots to build on. The real estate listing has yet to post a price. -via Digg
