That's because it was inspired by the architecture of the nearby Hilton Leech Art Studio, also known as the Round House, which was designed in 1960. The round house has rooms designed like the spokes of a wheel, with a mostly open floor plan outside of the three bedrooms. The center of the wheel is the bathroom, which comes complete with an open shower and a kidney-bean sink counter. Tiled all around, of course. Style aside, it's perfect for sheltering through a hurricane.
The house is priced at $899,000, which is a little steep for a house with only one bathroom, but if you're the 1960s type, you can deal with it.
