Oh, and, yes, that’s a helicopter in the background. It’s a decommissioned Sikorsky HH-3F Pelican from the US Coast Guard—one of the longtime workhorses of Coast Guard aviation. Now it rescues relationships instead of bodies at the Winvian Farm resort in Litchfield Hills, Connecticut.
Much of the interior walls remain, as well as some of the seating. There are also useful additions for overnight stays, such as a refrigerator and a kitchenette.
Sleeping on the floor of a helicopter is doable, but not enjoyable, so you may wish to sleep in the double bed outside of the chopper, which is inside a covered shed.
