The Lord of the Rings films were recorded in New Zealand, which seems like a very Shire-like place. But the temperate and wet forests of British Columbia are also remarkably similar. And now it's possible for you to live in your own Hobbit hole there.
āThe Spaces reports that an extensive ranch outside of Bridesville, which is just a few miles north of the US border, includes a second house on the property clearly inspired by Frodo's home.
You can see the real estate listing here, which includes numerous photos of the property. The round portals and polished hardwood floors, walls, and furnishings are invigoratingly beautiful for those of us who would prefer the Shire lifestyle.
It's a dangerous business going out your door. So why not stay inside the circular door of your warm Hobbit hole? It has everything that a Hobbit used to modern amenities needs.
Delicate touches throughout remind you that you are in Middle-Earth, including this lovely Elfish inscription over the hearth that I am sadly unable to read.
