The Jeromin Family of Germany is the World Record Holder for the Most Decorated Christmas Trees in one LocationA family living in Lower Saxony, Germany, broke the Record Institute for Germany’s record for the most decorated Christmas trees in one place. Susanne and Thomas Jeromin, along with their family, prepared 420 trees for last year’s holiday. The previous record, which they also held, was 350 trees.The family used 10,000 ornaments to fully embrace the holiday season for their massive horde of trees– that’s a lot! It took months of preparation; the family started preparing four months before Christmas. "This will be the biggest display you have ever seen," he happily announced before revealing his family's Christmas light-filled home. It is said that the whole house is illuminated with approximately 20,000 lights. Harold Lloyd’s World Famous Christmas TreeSilent film actor Harold Lloyd loved Christmas. He and his family lived in a spacious Beverly Hills home named Greenacres. For Christmas, Lloyd would purchase three of the biggest Christmas trees he could find and combine them to make a huge 20-foot tree. He covered it in ornaments that ranged from blown glass artworks worth thousands of dollars to gifts from fans. The family had so many ornament that they began putting up extra trees all around the estate. Eventually, Lloyd realized it was too much trouble to erect a new tree each year, and had the latest one fireproofed. After that, it stayed up all year, showing off its 5000 or so ornaments. The holiday features of Holiday Lights Cheekwood Estate & Garden include a village of real reindeer, a canopy tree draped in lights, and dozens of nutcrackers decorating a historic mansion. The holiday festival will run from November 20, 2021, through January 9, 2022.
