Cafe Apartment in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
This building was originally constructed as an apartment building in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, but the real estate was too valuable so the individual homes were converted into cafes.Originally built for high ranking officers working for the South Vietnam government in the mid 1960s, this apartment block located at 42 Nguyen Hue found itself in the midst of a tourist destination and the building became a Saigon landmark.Currently, there are over 30 businesses alongside apartments for longtime residents inside 42 Nguyen Hue, many of them cafes and teahouses.Image: Ruslan Bardash/Unsplash
