Snuggle with Blossoms in the Hortensia ArmchairThe Hortensia Armchair is made with more than 30,000 laser-cut fabric flower petals, to give you a soft airy cushion and a chic look that invites smiles. The story of how it came about is pretty cool, too. The Hortensia Armchair started out as a 3D rendering that soon went viral on social media. Even though the chair didn’t exist yet, its success prompted multiple orders. In response, Reisinger & Esqué searched for a way to make the chair into a real-life product. They successfully created a limited edition but wished the Hortensia Armchair could be widely available. This proofed to be almost impossible, with the chair being called “the chair that can’t be made”. Together with Moooi, Reisinger & Esqué proved everyone wrong. The Hortensia Armchair for Moooi enters the next phase in its remarkable journey, and a dream come true for Reisinger & Esqué, getting the Hortensia Armchair in interiors all around the world.File that under "if you can dream it, you can do it," especially if you have waiting customers clamoring for you to make the dream real! #armchair #chair #sofa #flowerpetals #flower #Mooi #ReisingerEsque
Dancing Chair by Soft Baroque This fantastic Dancing Chair was created by Royal College of Art alumni Nicholas Gardner and Saša Štucin, who go by the name Soft Baroque. The kinetic wooden chair features pivoting legs that allow it to turn around its base - like it's slowly dancing in place - with the sitting human providing the circular movement. The duo also created another kinetic chair called the Dancing Armchair, a more angular version which also has armrests. The smooth and streamlined shapes of Soft Baroque's works evoke midcentury elegance, but their conceptual design adhere to modern standards. Their practice in London focuses on harmonizing contradictory functions and visuals without sacrificing either.Images by: Soft Baroque#dancing #dynamic #chair #SoftBaroque #furniture #armchair #kineticchair
