Dancing Chair by Soft Baroque

This fantastic Dancing Chair was created by Royal College of Art alumni Nicholas Gardner and Saša Štucin, who go by the name Soft Baroque.

The kinetic wooden chair features pivoting legs that allow it to turn around its base - like it's slowly dancing in place - with the sitting human providing the circular movement.

The duo also created another kinetic chair called the Dancing Armchair, a more angular version which also has armrests.

The smooth and streamlined shapes of Soft Baroque's works evoke midcentury elegance, but their conceptual design adhere to modern standards. Their practice in London focuses on harmonizing contradictory functions and visuals without sacrificing either.
